Water Week

In response to the impact of COVID-19, SIWW actively explored ideas to harness technology to bring this traditionally physical event to the virtual space enabling a broader audience reach and attracting new participants around the world with discussions on topics like digital transformation, innovation and climate change. The SIWW webinar series held from a 6 – 7 July 2020 on Urban Coastal Resilience and Circular Resource Management saw a participation of 1,000 attendees. 

This propelled the team towards SIWW Online, the first-ever virtual edition of SIWW held from 18 – 19 November 2020.

Over the two days, the SIWW Online featured a comprehensive range of programmes carefully curated with SIWW’s partners which featured 10 webinars, over 70 renowned international and local speakers, a Virtual Expo with around 100 exhibitors showcasing their cutting-edge solutions for smart nations, sustainable water and urban environments, and dedicated features to facilitate networking. SIWW Online garnered a total of 3,000 participants across 90 countries. 

Participants were able to network and build contacts from the global water ecosystem including leading international water professionals, technical experts, researchers, innovators and investors too.
