IDA Business Forum - Business Drivers for Expanding the Desalination and Reuse Market

As our world’s population grows by a further 2 billion people, we will rapidly need more diverse water sources such as desalination and water reuse. The International Desalination Association is the peak global organization in the alternate water treatment space and seeks to encourage such projects. The IDA Business Forum will discuss the highlights and challenges of what is fast becoming a Golden Age of Desalination with massive capacity increases planned across the world and in the Middle East in particular. On the water reuse front the Forum will discuss the increased demand for water reuse due to population increase and global warming concerns. These technologies are in need at a greater occurrence and faster rate than any of us had ever expected, greatly increasing the urgency for such projects in our industry. Singapore has set an excellent example for the world; how can we as water professionals lead our own communities toward more sustainable water sourcing?
