Paul has two decades of experience in research and consultancy work on coastal and estuarine engineering problems. He started his career at the Universities of Brighton and Bristol, carrying out research on coastal processes on mixed sediment beaches, and received his PhD on this subject in 2002. His consultancy work includes assessment and modelling of estuarine and coastal processes, coastal design, flood risk, and wave/tidal power. In the last decade Paul’s work has focused on large-scale infrastructure proposals and strategies/schemes for adapting to climate and coastal change in the UK.
