Dr Zhou Tong

Zhou Tong is the Director and Executive Vice President of UES Holdings Pte Ltd which is one of the largest Contractors in the field of water and environmental infrastructure works in Singapore. He is currently managing the company daily operation and corporate matters.

Zhou Tong joined UESH in 2014 and has more than 15 years of experience in Desalination, Water & Wastewater Industries, as well as research and development (R&D) on membranes in Singapore and the region. Prior to his career in UES, Dr Zhou was with Hyflux for nine years where he led the membrane R&D and commercialisation team, system design team and project commissioning team. He had commissioned several large-scale plants including a Singapore largest membrane bioreactor plant with a capacity of 68,000m3/day at Jurong Water Reclamation Plant, Singapore largest NEWater Plant at a capacity of 228,000 m3/day at Changi Water Reclamation Plant, and a portable water plant with a capacity of 120,000m3/day at Chestnut Waterwworks in Singapore, as well as Souk Tleta Desalination Plant with a capacity of 200,000 m3/day in Algeria. In addition, he has commercialised many membrane products which were applied in water industry.

His portfolio has been extended to the management of business development, tender, human resource, cashflow and profit and losses of the Company in the past 4 years.

Dr Zhou holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering from National University of Singapore.
