David Pong is a social entrepreneur who believes in harnessing the power of business to drive social change and solve the world’s toughest problems. Having witnessed rural villagers across Asia who remain burdened by waterborne diseases even in the 21st century, David co-founded Wateroam in 2014 to design & build innovative water filters that can provide safe drinking water in the hardest-to-reach places on earth. These water filters are built to be simple-to-use, swift to deploy and can provide high quality drinking water even without electricity. Today, Wateroam’s filters has been deployed through its partners to 38 countries globally and have provided clean water access to more than 100,000 people in rural & disaster-hit communities.
