Er. Tan Ee Sin received his Engineering Degree in Electrical Engineering from the National University of Singapore in 1984. He is a trained Electrical Engineer and specialised in the Instrumentation & Control Engineering. He joined the Public Utilities Board ( PUB ) in 1984 and was instrumental in setting up the Instrumentation & Control branch in PUB. He was the project lead to commission the first island-wide Telemetry System project in PUB where a centralised control center was setup to provide supervisory monitoring and remote control operation of various water collection and distribution facilities in Singapore. He obtained the qualification of Professional Engineer from the Professional Engineers Board of Singapore in year 1992 and have subsequently oversee the smooth implementation of various process automation projects in Water Treatment plant in Singapore.

His main interest are process control and automation, system engineering and interfacing, lightning protection and lately cyber security and system resiliency. He is currently serving as a Chief Specialist in Instrumentation Control & Automation ( ICA ) in MEICA Department , where he oversee and ensure best engineering practices in ICA engineering for all Operational Technology ( OT ) projects in PUB. He also serves as key member in the PUB Project Evaluation Panel ( PEP ) as well as in the Technical Committee of the National Satellite of Excellence in Design Science & Technology for Secure Critical Infrastructure ( NSoE DeST-SCI ) under iTrust of Singapore University of Technology & Design ( SUTD ).
