Dr Alan Ryder is Chief Executive Officer of RSK Group, a leading global environmental, engineering and technical services business. He has worked extensively in the oil, gas and nuclear power industries. His specialist area is the construction and reinstatement of cross-country pipelines in environmentally sensitive areas – the subject of his doctoral thesis, approved in 1988, that initiated the founding of RSK in 1989. Through RSK, Alan has fulfilled his passion for creating a sustainable business with people at its heart and developed a globally successful business, now employing over 6000 people and with a pro forma turnover of £500 million.
