MR Andrew Tan is currently Managing Director, Enterprise Development Group and Strategy Office at Temasek International. Prior to this, he spent 28 years of his career in the public sector where he held key positions across various government agencies from the Ministry of Information and the Arts, Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Prime Minister’s Office as the Principal Private Secretary to Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew, the Ministry of Environment and Water Resources and the Ministry of Transport. He was also the Chief Executive Officer of the National Environment Agency (NEA) from 2009-2013 and Chief Executive of the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) from 2014-2019. He was also Founding Director of the Centre for Liveable Cities (CLC) from 2008 to 2010 and remains a Fellow. He graduated from King’s College, University of London, with a First Class Honours in History and a Masters of Public Administration from Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government. He also sits on the Enterprise Board of the Singapore Management University (SMU)’s Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship and SME Sub-Committee on Technology, Innovation and Productivity of the Singapore Business Federation (SBF).
