Water Sustainability in Singapore
Co-Organiser: Newcastle University
Access: All delegates and trade visitors
Venue: NewRIIS campus (East Jurong)
The seminar explores the research and innovations that are being developed to ensure the sustainability of fresh water supplies in urban centres such as Singapore in the context of climate change. Extreme weather, flooding and coastal inundation are examples of climate change induced threats to water supplies. Strategies are considered to reduce these threats, such as adoption of renewable energies, improved efficiency in water treatment and recycling systems, as well as carbon-neutral water management.
