Ms. Michèle Blom is the Dutch Vice Minister for Water Management since 2017. Her Department employs 9000 professionals and has an annual turnover of over EUR 5 billion. Michèle Blom joined the Dutch government service in 1991. In 2008 she became Director Regional Mobility and Transport Safety at the Ministry of Transport, Water Management and Public Works. From 2010 to 2014, Michèle Blom was deputy Director-General for Mobility and Transport. From 2014 to 2017, she worked at the Ministry of Justice as Director-General for Sanctions and Protection. Michèle Blom graduated at the Breda University of Applied Sciences and has a degree in Organisational Sociology from the University of Amsterdam.
