Suntar's Tubular Ceramic Membranes were developed for product/process applications, for solid/liquid separation of valuable products from unwanted purities. The membranes are most often used in F&B (such as sugar alcohols, amino acids, organic acids, tea / fruit extractions), Biopharmaceuticals (Antibiotics, Fermentation Broths), Chemicals (Harsh solvent conditions) and Water (Complex Wastewater, Extreme Conditions, Hardness Removal) etc. Ceramic membranes can withstand high temperatures, high/low pH, and have excellent mechanical strength. Rigorous CIP procedures can be applied without much damage to the membranes, leading to strict sterilization or sanitation requirements
