Water Utility leadership is critical to progressing solutions for the world’s most challenging water problems. This year’s SIWW Spotlight event in Singapore will bring together some of the most prominent water utility leaders. To support and foster cross dialogue among the utilities leaders that will be in Singapore for the Spotlight event, Ramboll, with the support of PUB, will host a networking dinner to kickstart dialogue for the event.

The session will present the outcomes of the recently concluded training course offered by ADB to water utilities on “Resilience & Decarbonization (R&D): Capacity Building and Roadmap Preparation for the Water Sector”. The training course was conducted in collaboration with Deltares, Craig Hart of Johns Hopkins University, and Andreas Biermann of Globalfields. Delivered under the Asia and the Pacific Water Resilience Hub, the course supported six ADB client water utilities by introducing planning approaches to promote adaptation and decarbonization—in their projects and operations. The roadmaps were developed using the Dynamic Adaptation Policy Pathways (DAPP) framework, an approach that enables the development of an adaptive plan in the context of deep uncertainty such as climate change.

All are invited to hear the utilities’ experience and presentation on their roadmaps and share your own utilities’ perspectives.
